After years of loyal service, I replaced my 13″ XPS 9350 with a brand new 15″ XPS 9500 (i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 1080p non touchscreen).

My 9350 was still wonderful, as fast as the day I bought it (6 years ago) and it never missed a beat, NEVER. But I’d been wanting a 15″ and after getting my wife a 17″ XPS 9700 and seeing how nice the extra screen was and the bigger mousepad I knew it was just a matter of time until I had to bite the bullet.

I’ve had it for a couple weeks at this point and I’ve been thoroughly pleased with it. After I purchased my XPS 9350 years ago, I recommended my parents get an XPS, I bought my wife the 17″ 9700, and now I’ve got myself a new one. I can’t imagine getting a different computer honestly. This is the nicest laptop I’ve used, full stop. I’ve used HPs at work, Apple MacBook’s as well. I’ve purchased a System76 linux laptop and I’ve had other assorted laptops over the years.
The XPS is the best. It’s not cheap, but it’ll last forever. Get the one you want, get it with an NVIDIA if you think you’ll play games but if you’re looking for general computing that can handle pretty much anything, you won’t regret it ever.
